An Evening with DOXA, Summit Watches & HS-U
There are watch events—and then there are experiences. Recently, Summit Watch Club in Heber City, Utah partnered with the Horological Society of Utah to host a truly special private evening featuring one of the most iconic names in dive watch history: DOXA.
Set against the mountain backdrop of Utah’s Wasatch Back, this exclusive gathering brought together HS-U members and friends for an immersive night of horology, community, and great food—an evening that perfectly captured what makes the watch collecting community so unique.
At the heart of the event was an in-depth DOXA brand presentation, walking attendees through the company’s storied history, its ties to professional diving, and the design principles that have made DOXA instantly recognizable for decades. From the development of the iconic, orange faced Professional dial to DOXA’s enduring commitment to legibility, robustness, and tool-watch authenticity, the presentation provided meaningful context for what guests would experience hands-on.
That hands-on element was where the night truly came alive. DOXA brought their full current catalog, allowing attendees to explore the breadth of the brand side by side—something even seasoned collectors rarely get to do.
Seeing the watches laid out together highlighted DOXA’s consistency as a brand—no matter the model, each watch clearly spoke the same design language while serving a slightly different purpose or personality.
Summit Watch Club provided an ideal venue—warm, inviting, and purpose-built for enthusiasts who enjoy engaging with watches beyond a display case. Surrounded by modern mountain aesthetic, it was the kind of environment where questions were encouraged, watches were passed freely, and nobody rushed the experience.
Adding to the relaxed atmosphere was catered BBQ and drinks, turning the event into an easygoing social gathering rather than a formal presentation. Conversations flowed from case materials to bezel designs to favorite dive watches of all time, with plenty of wrist checks happening along the way.
There’s something uniquely satisfying about discussing serious tool watches while enjoying good food and good company—and this event struck that balance perfectly.
