A Night for Watch Enthusiasts with Worn & Wound and the Citizen Watch Group

Worn & Wound and Citizen Watch America bring limited-edition timepieces and local collectors together in Murray, Utah.

On August 27, Morgan Jewelers’ Center of Brilliance became a gathering place for watch lovers across the Salt Lake Valley as Worn & Wound hosted an enthusiast night in partnership with Citizen Watch America. Supported by the Horological Society of Utah, the event brought together collectors, brand representatives, and curious newcomers for an evening centered on hands-on discovery, shared enthusiasm, and conversation.

The private event at Morgan Jewelers in Murray, featured a curated selection of standout watches from the Citizen Watch group, including Citizen, Bulova, Accutron, Alpina, and Frédérique Constant. For many attendees, the draw was simple: a rare opportunity to handle watches that are often difficult to find, rarely available to try on, or typically seen only behind glass.

Hands-On with Rare and Limited-Edition Watches

The highlight of the evening was the opportunity for attendees to get “hands-on” with so many different brands and watches, include vintage pieces brought in specifically for the event. Attendees were able to pick up, try on, compare, and discuss a range of special pieces, including limited-edition and hard-to-track-down models from across the Citizen Watch America portfolio. Standouts included Citizen Eco-Drive models, Bulova designs showcasing the brand’s Precisionist technology, and refined dress and travel watches from Frédérique Constant.

Rather than a traditional showroom experience, the evening encouraged exploration. Guests could examine dial textures, case finishing, bracelet comfort, movement stories, and design details up close. For collectors, that kind of access makes all the difference. A watch can look impressive online, but seeing how it sits on the wrist—and talking through the details with others who understand the appeal—adds an entirely different dimension.

A Strong Showing from the Local Watch Community

The Horological Society of Utah helped support the event, and many of its members attended, adding to the energy in the room. Their presence turned the gathering into more than a brand showcase; it became a community night. Conversations moved easily from favorite releases and collecting stories to movement technology, vintage design inspiration, and the future of watch enthusiasm in Utah.

Morgan Jewelers flagship store provided an ideal setting for the evening. The space allowed guests to gather around displays, compare watches side by side, and enjoy an energetic atmosphere with refreshments, giveaways, and plenty of time to talk. For longtime collectors and first-time attendees alike, the event created the kind of shared experience that keeps the hobby personal and approachable.
