The Horological Society of Utah’s 2026 Donor Dinner

On a crisp January evening in 2026, the Horological Society of Utah gathered its supporters, friends, and patrons for a night dedicated to community, generosity, and recognition. Hosted at the charming Forty Three Bakery, this year’s Donor Dinner celebrated those whose financial contributions helped the Society advance its mission of supporting the culture of horology through education and community outreach.

The evening opened with drinks and casual conversation – inevitably sharing the timepieces of choice for the night. Board members, donors, and guests reflected on 2025 and the various events and meet ups that brought so much joy and connection to the local watch community.

“We do believe that good food brings people together,” Andrew Corrao

No donor dinner is complete without a memorable meal, and this year’s offerings was no different. Chef Andrew Corrao, known for his inventive, ingredient‑forward culinary style, curated a multi‑course dining experience that transformed Forty Three Bakery into a gastronomic showcase.

Honoring Those Who Keep the Society Ticking

After dinner, attention turned to honoring our donors. Their support over the past year fueled educational initiatives, community workshops, and unique brand events. In a world moving faster than ever, these donors continue to make room for the exploration of time itself—a generosity that does not go unnoticed.

As a token of appreciation, attendees received custom‑crafted hourglasses, each one a symbol of the Society’s belief that time is not just measured, but felt, savored, and honored. These bespoke pieces served as both artwork and reminder: philanthropy can shape the future just as surely as gears and springs shape the heartbeat of a watch.

Looking Ahead

The Donor Dinner will continue to be a cherished tradition—one that not only thanks supporters but also brings together a community united by a passion for the mechanics and meaning of time.

As the Horological Society of Utah turns the page to a new year, the momentum of this gathering carries forward. With the support of its generous donors, the Society is poised to expand educational programs, broaden public exhibits, and foster the next generation of watchmakers, scholars, and enthusiasts.

In the glow of the bakery’s warm lights, surrounded by friends, hourglasses and shared appreciation, one thing was clear: time spent in good company, is time well spent.
