About the event

Food will be provided by the Horological Society of Utah. Attendance is free for Supporting HS-Utah members. Plus ones and non-members will be $20 each to help pay for the venue rental and food.

A full list of items that will be included in the auction will be sent out on Thursday, December 2nd. We are expecting several dozen items spanning all different price points.

From the very beginning, one of the key elements of the mission of the Horological Society of Utah has been to serve the community around us. Part of that is our annual charity auction. It enables us to help feed the passion of our member’s while supporting some great local causes.

As a 501(c)3 non-profit, the Horological Society of Utah can easily collect in-kind donations and transfer the proceeds of those items to another charity all while still providing the donor with the ability to get a tax deduction for those generous gifts.

The auctions will be conducted via silent ballots. Payments will be made directly to HS-U and we will disburse the funds to the earmarked charities accordingly.

This year we have two great organizations that we would like to support. For each item donated, we ask that the donating party identify which cause they would like to support. Additionally, the donation can be earmarked for the Horological Society of Utah general fund to be used in our future endeavors.

· The Utah Food Bank - Last year, Utah Food Bank distributed 58.5 million meals via a statewide network of 216 partner agencies located in all 29 counties. In addition to being one of only a handful of food banks that distributes food free-of-charge to partner agencies, we also offer several direct service programs to help the most vulnerable populations in our state — children and seniors.https://www.utahfoodbank.org/

· Best Friends Animal Society - We started with little fanfare and even fewer resources: creating a sanctuary for homeless and special-needs animals literally from the ground up, forging roadways and erecting buildings with our bare hands. We were creating a better world through kindness to animals. https://bestfriends.org/

* The venue has requested 21 and older in their private space *
