About the event
The whole recital is set in chronological order of how one becomes excited for new things, then struck with reality, trying to change, and then moving forward. Very past vs present vs future.
Many of the pieces feature horological titles (I.E. “Long Time Ago”, “Lullaby Eternal”, “La Cloche (The Clock)”, etc.) and all of them feature lyrics about the passage of time in various senses. Some in a fearful way, some admirable, some longingly. Several pieces have clock-like chimes in the piano part as well.
There will also be detailed program notes on each piece at the event.
